Gina ShafferTanDen Concepts’ blog discusses all things PR, with a heavy focus on Israel and Israeli business and economic affairs. Gina follows local and international trends in hi-tech, fads and consumer behavior and how they relate to the public relations professional both in Israel and abroad.

Gina’s experience encompasses over 18 years as an international public relations and marketing specialist, working on three continents around the globe. Prior to forming TanDen Concepts, Gina was the international public relations consultant for Gitam Porter Novelli, Israel’s brand partner of the leading global public relations agency Porter Novelli. In this capacity she managed and coordinated the company’s international business ventures. Her role encompassed providing ongoing support to multinational clients as well as acting as foreign media liaison for high profile events, such as the Saban Forum, where dignitaries included former President Bill Clinton and past Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.

Gina’s knowledge of reputation management is extensive. It includes working on 3 continents with start-ups, medium-to-large corporations as well as government agencies and non-profit organizations. Gina is a specialist at conducting public relations, developing marketing strategy, performing market research and business intelligence, generating speeches, creating marketing collateral and other activities. She has also worked extensively with high-tech companies. As the marketing manager of a technology incubator, Gina established the marketing infrastructure of several start-ups. In addition, Gina worked as an account manager for several local Israeli companies traded on the NASDAQ.

Originally from South Africa, Gina worked and studied communications and public relations both in South Africa, at the former Technikon Witwatersrand (now the University of Johannesburg), and in the United States, at UCLA, prior to moving to Israel. Gina is recognized as an experienced freelance writer with articles published and translated into German, Dutch and Italian. She has comprehensive knowledge of the telecommunications, mobile, security and wireless industries.
